On the basis of a contract signed between the Mass Media Foundation and the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Uzbekistan, a project was launched to improve the legal literacy of journalists.

Rachel Boesch, head of the Bureau for International Cooperation of the Embassy of Switzerland, noted the importance and relevance of the project aimed at improving the practice of law enforcement in the field of increasing the legal literacy of journalists and protecting freedom of speech.

The project, which consists of several stages, aims to create an accessible online platform that provides the necessary information on legal issues in the field of protecting the rights of journalists and developing responsible journalism.

"The legal literacy of journalists is an important step towards protecting their rights. It is thanks to it that one can stimulate the strict implementation of legislation in the field of mass media. And this, in turn, will help strengthen freedom of speech. Law enforcement practice is very important, because if it is not ensured, then not even the most perfect law will work,” said Nozima Davletova, director of the Mass Media Foundation.
